  36. I have managed to make my system work so that my Fidonet mailer can 
  37. recognise FAX or data calls. I cannot remember the whole string but the 
  38. part which sets the modem to that detection is:

  40. ATZ|~~AT+FCLASS=2.0|~AT+FAA=1+FLI="Keith's Point BBS"
  41.  
  42. The pipe character issues a Return and the tilde adds a delay to allow 
  43. the modem to come back to command mode after reacting to the previous 
  44. instruction. I get +Fdm returned by the modem when it reacts to a data 
  45. call. I don't know what a FAX return is as no-one's FAXed the system yet!

  48. The program I'm using is Binkley Term on the Atari ST and although that 
  49. uses ATA| to force an answer I don't see why that would make a 
  50. difference.
